The veterinarian's fetish
I took Cinnamon to the vet tonight because I had concerns about this one pimple/wart like thing that he's had on his body for the past few weeks. It just appeared out of nowhere and I figured that it'd probably just go away. After weeks, it still was there, I started getting nervous about it. I've heard so many people tell me horror stories that it started to get me paranoid. Then I thought, maybe it was tick related. Cinn doesn't really go outside so I didn't think that was a possibility but one can never be sure.
When he found out he was going for a ride, he got so excited and couldn't wait for me to open the car door. After being in the car, he soon caught on and realized that no good could come from going out at this time. As usual, I had to drag and then pick him up to go into the office. It was a new vet this time, a younger guy that I hadn't seen before. I told him my concerns and also about Cinn's random upchuck issues.
The vet checked out the bump and told me that as long as it doesn't change in size or color, I shouldn't worry too much about it. He also brought up the possibility that it was the aftermath of a tick. While he's discussing this with me, he was still feeling up and squeezing the little bump.
(Vet): "Oh hey! This is exciting!! Okay, now I see what the problem is. It's good news."
(Me): "Huh? What?"
(Vet): "I'm sure this won't be as exciting for you but now that I squeezed it, there's the white stuff that's coming out. It's most probably a hair follicle that's grown wrong. The white stuff is good news. But the thing may still be there though."
(Me): "Okay, great!" - stop squeezing my dog....
(Vet): "Oh man, this is really great! You have no idea. I LOVE squeezing and popping things! I'm sure you don't want to keep watching me do this, it's probably gross to you. But it's so much fun!"
(Me): "Uhm....that's kind of sad that you enjoy popping and then squeezing the stuff out."
(Vet): "Hey, I'm a doctor, I got to find something to enjoy!"
Seriously, he wouldn't stop squeezing it. After a couple more squeezes, he finally stopped and told me he had enough. As for Cinn's other issue, it could be because he eats things he's not supposed to or he gags on his toys. The vet gave some deworming pills as a precaution (used against parasites). I'm pretty sure that's not the case but since the pills won't cause any harm, might as well be safe. When I got home, I was having a bit of difficulty giving Cinny the pills. He kept picking it out of the food and then he refused to eat any of the bread. Finally, I coated the pills in honey and conned him into swallowing them that way.
