Hearts and farts

I bet the title got your attention!

This week has been a continuation of the awfulness that has been going on. Seriously, no one gets why these situations happen to me. Despite it all, two funny things did occur today that I just needed to share.

One of my boys had this sheet of really teeny tattoos that came with his notebook. He decides to scratch one unto his desk. I walked by to conference with him and I noticed that he had written out "I <3 Ms. C-----"! It was very cute but of course I had to explain to him about how it's not okay to draw on school property. He looked so sad and asked me, "Don't you like it? I heart you." Of course I told him it was very sweet and that it was great seeing him write positive things but for the future, I suggested that he placed his art on paper instead.

Then while we were in our meeting area, one of my girls just talks over me. She very nonchalantly says, "Oh, if anyone was wondering what that smell was, it was me, I just farted." OMG - I couldn't hold it in and cracked up!! She was incredibly cool as she said it and I do admire her honesty.
