Swearing off all things Buffalo

Yesterday, I had the Rangers vs. Buffalo game. We decided to head out earlier into the city so I could get some food and shop around a bit. I had lunch with Kevin's family and afterwards, Kevin, Jeff, and I walked around a bit before we headed uptown. Jeff wanted to buy some things to "decorate" his car with. Not surprisingly, most of the additions were kind of girly looking. I saw the funniest tissue holder, a bit crude but amusing nonetheless. It was these animals and the tissues would be pulled out through their special areas. I found and bought the cutest his/her keychain set! I had gotten us a set years ago but the painting chipped off so I was happy to find a even better replacement! I LOVE how it looks like they're jump roping.

There were all these cute rings that caught my eye. It sucks having tiny fingers so they were all too big. I even found a knock off of this bubbly/circles ring that I had really liked, but the price was still ridiculously expensive for something that wasn't the original. I was good, I didn't really look at bags or buy any! Yes, this is great restraint for me. I did just glimpse at one store but I walked out within a minute.

Soon afterwards, Kevin and I were on our way uptown. I wanted to leave earlier because I have been dying to find and try out Pinkberry. There have been a few times that I've been around that area but never have had the time to actually find the place. My aunt has been trying to entice me to visit her in Cali for Jamba Juice and Pinkberry. I won't visit her since the last time years back, I visited her so it's her turn to come here. I want her to meet Cinnamon! But I've explained to her that I've been able to get my Jamba for a whiles now and that I was told that a Pinkberry opened up in the fall. Well, we found the place and there wasn't a wait (obviously since it was freezing outside). I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the mochi pieces that I was told about. They only have two flavors, plain and green tea. I tried the green tea flavor, and with two toppings, pineapples and strawberries. It's pricey though, you get charged for each topping, and the green tea flavor is more expensive. Mine turned out to be around $6. It was SOO good! I love tarty things, and especially the fact that it actually tasted like real yogurt (not like TCBY ice cream-like). One of my fave drinks has always been those mini Japanese yogurt drinks and the Calpis drinks, so in my opinion, the yogurt here tastes just like that but in a different texture. I noticed that quite a few of the customers didn't seem to like and would respond with, "It tastes like yogurt." Uhm really? Dude, that's what you were told it tasted like and you expected different?

We still had some time before the game so we just walked around a bit. Since I knew I'd be eating, I didn't have my jersey on because whenever I wear white things, magically I can get it dirty. The seats this time weren't as close as Kevin's bday seats but they were still good and close to center ice. It was a really great and intense game (except for the 1st period). When the score was 3-1 (Rangers), I wished that I could fast forward time and end the game right there. It was awesome to go into overtime but the suckalo Buffalo scored and ended the game, 4-3. Oh yeah, I was pretty pissed off. I actually saw blood this time when one of the suckalos got hit in the face and it was all over the ice. Pretty gross. This time, I wasn't really surrounded by the enemies but 2 rows down, an ENTIRE row of Buffalo fans who were so jackass about everything. Especially one of them, he would sneer and turn around to taunt us. He was seconds away from getting my shoe to his head. He'd keep standing up and blocking the view and we'd all yell at him to sit his ass back down. That's what sucks the most for me, watching a losing game is bad enough, but to be near the opposing fans and seeing that "face" they give you, argh!

When we got back to Kevin's house, we grabbed some food and I hung out a bit. I was looking in his closet and found all the jerseys from when Jeff and he were kids. To cool off, we decided to have some fun with them. If we look a bit icky, remember, we had a long day and I was totally sweating bullets on the entire train ride! I did get to use my crazy changing skills by being able to remove my sweater without taking off the jersey. Here goes the story: we're happily rocking our Rangers gear, we're thinking the Avalanche is okay and we're cool with it (they were his fave team as a kid), and we're disgusted and shocked by the final set of jerseys (the Penguins would have fit me better but I refused to put it on)!
