Dance inside

I'm so relieved that it didn't downpour yesterday or it would have sucked being in the city. We got to Hammerstein just around 5 when the doors would open. Holy crap, the line that had already formed was ridiculous! Just seeing the hoards of people made me realize that I truly am too old for this sh*t! I still can't believe that I used to wait outside so many hours before the doors would open just to get in front of the stage. The seats were great and we could see the stage clearly. The first opening band was Gym Class Heroes, I only knew one song from them and of course they didn't play it. The beats they had were tight but I thought the singing/lyrics were a bit weak. The 2nd act was The Format, or as I like to call them Assmat/Floormat. Why? Because they sucked! Everything sounded the same, boring and not much charisma to it. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they just suck live and that their CD is decent. But still, the fact that two certain boys managed to fall asleep to them, that just explains it all. I was so surprised and happy when I discovered that they added a bonus opening act to the show, The Starting Line! Most of the teeny boppers there had no clue who they were but it's all good. Ken got older and is now rocking his natural hair color, I definitely liked the bleached blonde! Their performance got cut short because of the time restraint but they sang some of the older songs that were my favorites. All American Rejects rocked! They always put on a good show and Tyson is just that good. I still remember when I saw their show when they were still unknown at Birch Hill, they were great back then already! Some chick threw her bra on stage and Tyson used his guitar to pick it up and let it dangle and fling around as he rocked out, it was so funny. I definitely got my money's worth since they played songs that they don't usually do at their shows, as well as playing a few of my faves off of their first album.
