One more day please?

Once again, all play and no work during this Memorial day weekend. Spent the beginning of it running errands for my parents since they choose to leave everything last minute. So I got the wonderful task of trying to pick up things for them before they left for their cruise on Sunday. I had the hardest time looking for those aqua shoes, I swear, when you don't need them, you see them everywhere! Eventually I was able to find them at Payless. I did get a good deal on some pj pants from Old Navy, they were 50% off so I got 2 for the price of one. I really should make Cinn pay for them since he's the reason why my pant legs have been destroyed.

Yesterday, I went to the boardwalk. I was so afraid of mad traffic both ways but we really lucked out and it was a smooth ride except for the occasional idiots on the road. I got to pig out on cajun fries, orange creme ice cream, and cotton candy. There was a huge disappointment though. I walked to my fave store to get my caramel apple....and it was gone! I mean there was nothing left inside. I don't know if they just didn't open yet but I really get the feeling that they moved or went out of business. I'm really upset about it, out of all the places I've tried, that place was the best. Their apples were always crunchy and juicy, and the caramel was awesome. Yes, I know it's very sad that I'm upset over this but I live for them! I did however pick up a minor at the Frog Bog game.

Much deserved award Posted by Hello

It was great hanging out with the girls tonight, a little weird since I just saw them last week. Not too used to Beth always being here in NJ but definitely no complaints from me. It was funny because after I picked Beth up, I got my mail and there was her thank card, along with this cute award that she had made for me. She gave awards to Jess (I saw another girl pee in the bathroom), which could go to me too, and Lyds (I got the most sleep this weekend).

Dinner was alright, we just ate at the diner. But I had this really good dessert, it was this warm apple tart with maple ice cream. Yeah, we always base it on the desserts, so sad. Of course no EW trip would be complete without a trip to Target! Apparently there was a need to get pantyhose and candy. Nice combo. We saw some HUGE bras there and Jess felt the need to put the cup on my head, it actually fit on like a helmet. I think Jess was just peeved that I wouldn't let her buy me these Lizzie Maguire lightup sandals.

Mitchichas' Bling! Posted by Hello

So these are the bracelets that we went to New Haven for. Beth had bought me the last one on the bottom for my bday. I remember when I first saw it, I was like "Woah, that's a lot of crap on there. Look's like something my art teacher would wear!" But seriously, once you put it on, it looks so good. We've all had people hunt us down asking where we bought them from. The best part is that it jingles and jangles (and it's really light too). I used to wear it purposely on Wed nights cause I knew that it irked a certain jerky professor. Especially with all the computer usage, I could see him going nuts! The top bracelet, each one of us girls has but in different colors; that way whenever we wear it, we can think of each other (without sounding too lesbian-ish). I loved the middle one cause of the color (since teal is so hot now), plus I love sea shell thingys.

Crazy weekend in CT, son! (Pt. 1)

Saturday:
The girls and I left around 9ish for CT and the drive wasn't too bad. I really didn't want to drive since I do so much normally but no one else wanted to so I got suckered in. We would've gotten to Beth's sooner except we hit dead-lock traffic on the Merrit Pkwy. We found out that the traffic was all because of some moron who left their sentra in the middle of the road/shoulder. Eventually we made it into Hamden and Beth brought us to New Haven to go to the boutique where she bought me my bday bracelet. All of us wanted to buy more so that was on our list of things to do. I ended up picking up 2 more, they're really decently price, from $8-$12. Afterwards we went back to Beth's apt and just hung around till dinner came along. Jess & Lyd ended up taking the longest nap (even though I drove) so I had to stay up to keep Betty company. But it was good though, she got me to "ok" all her outfits and help pick out sets, that way she wouldn't have to call me up at 7am to ask if it'd be okay to wear something (yes, she does that). After 6:30 hit, we had to drag the other 2 girls up to go to dinner at Bertucci's.

After dinner, we went back to Beth's again to surprise her with her belated bday festivities. Then we all got ready to go out for the night. We ended up going to Rachel's to pregame first and then went out to Playwright. That bar/club was so huge, best part is that there's no smoking allowed! Me & Jess had quite a lot of shots but strangely I was perfectly fine. I think it might have been the red bull shot that was keeping me going. But man, are there stories from that place. There was a really skeezy guy that approached us, all because of Lydia. He was soo gross! But he came up to Lydia and was like, "You look Arab, I have a friend who's very shy and just came here and I'd really like to help him learn to talk to girls...blah blah." Lyd was so blunt and just told him she wasn't interested, she had a bf but the guy wouldn't quit. He then introduced himself to me & Jess and completely slobbered over our hands, I tried so hard to wipe it off on my pants. Jess was on the ball though, when he asked for our names she said that her name was Veronica, that I was Samantha and then Lyd decides to give her real name. The funny part was that Jess had him going that she was Native American and that I was Hawaiian. But the guy was a jerk though, he told Lyd that he would go away if we told him to so she did. Well, hours later, he comes back and Lyd is like get away from me and he ends up cursing her off in Arab. What an ass!

Oh the fun doesn't stop there. I go to the bathroom with Jess and she ends up going into a single handicap room so I wait for her outside. I think back now and I think this guy purposely bumped into me so that I would have to apologize to him. The moment I apologize, he starts feeling me up telling me it's okay. Like I'm talking hands around my waist, rubbing my arms and back. He was alright, definitely not skeezy like the 1st guy but I was just uncomfortable because he had me cornered and was all up my grill. He asked, "Do you want me to go beat up the person in the bathroom so that you can go?" Ok, why does every guy think that I need them to beat up people? I was like, "Uhm, I'm just waiting for my friend." Finally Jess pops out and he's like, "You two are so beautiful, I think Asian women are so much hotter than blondes and excuse me for saying this, White girls! Do you have boyfriends?" So we both were like yes and he asked why we were alone then. So I told him, "It's girls' night out." While continuing to molest me, he asks, "Ok, what's that about? I think it's a lie, why would you be here and your boyfriends be at home?" Unfortunately, neither one of us can be mean and nasty so I'm already giving him signs that I'm not interested and he keeps saying, "I've never been with Asian women before.." Uhm what, did you think that me & Jess would give you a 3-some? Unfortunately (but luckily), out of nowhere I feel something at my feet. I look down and this girl blacked out and fell to my feet. I freaked out and tried to lift her and so did Jess, while her boyfriend is still completely unaware of this. Eventually he sees and the 3 of us try to lift her up and we drag her into that one room bathroom. I still don't know why he couldn't have picked her up by himself, I definitely was not able to hold her up! So the 4 of us are in the bathroom trying to splash water to get her awake and she just keeps passing out every other second. Then, since the bathroom wasn't locked, another girl comes in and says, "I'm really sorry but I'm about to piss my pants." Yeah, so she pees there while we're all in the same room and then leaves. Only after when we throw ice down her shirt does she wake up. Once we filled her in on what happened, she asks "did I look really gross?" I really don't think that was the important issue but whatever. Since she was fine, we left and darted back up before asian fetish guy could flag us down. All I can say is that was some crazy stuff!

Crazy weekend in CT, son! (Pt. 2)

Sunday:
We had to get up early in order to make breakfast, shower, and get ready for Beth's graduation. Actually, I didn't have to wake up since I never got to sleep. I shared the bed with Betty and we realized we had to stop talking around 4. From that time on until 7:30, her neighbors directly above were making so much noise. It sounded like they were stomping their feet as they walked across the room non-stop all night! The ceremony was less than 2 hours. What I was impressed by was the tent that had food, wine, and beer! RU had nothing but then again the tuition wasn't as much as QU. Only crappy part was the weather, at first it was sunny and then it would downpour, it just kept going back and forth. Of course now I'm sick and sunburned, woo hoo! Oh yeah, we gave Beth a solitaire diamond necklace and she loved it. Her parents were very hospitable and treated us all to dinner at Colonial Tymes. I ordered this shrimp and scallop pasta with lobster cream sauce, it was so rich and tasty! We hit the road after dinner and boy did that suck for me. Having to drive late in the night with rainy weather and with less than 2 hours of broken sleep was so not fun, not to mention I would have to drive to class again the next day. But despite the exhaustion, I had tons of fun, filled with silly pictures and craziness! I'd have to say I had enough "excitement" to last me a month!

Quote of the weekend: "Congratulations, you're a meathead son! But don't you ever f'in put your hands on my underwear!"

Pint-sized innocence

It's funny how tiring the day can be when I'm just running errands. After hitting up all the stores I needed to go to, I decided to clean out the car since it was so gorgeous outside. Man, the crap I found inside...I definitely snack too much during my commute. I finally cleared out all the cd cases that were thrown all over the car. The swiffer duster thingy works wonders on the dashboard, all the dust was gone and it was shiny so I didn't need to use one of those protectant wipes. Plus, the lil duster is pretty cute so it was fun using it.

While I was cleaning, my lil neighbor decided to pay me a visit. He was looking at all my cd cases and asking who they were and what they sang. I've forgotten how much little kids like to stretch the truth...he was telling me that a few weeks ago he caught an adult man trying to steal his bike so he beat him up and threw a rock at his head. Every new detail that he added to the story seemed to be things I've seen in cartoons. So cute though. I would have to say the highlight of the day was when I taught him how to use the helicopter leafy things. He was asking me what all that crap was on the sidewalks so I taught him that if he grabbed a bunch and threw them in the air, they'd spin down like a helicopter. You wouldn't believe how amazed he was by this. So we spent a good 5 minutes just throwing them at each other and going "ooooh." It definitely felt great being able to step back for a moment and enjoy the little things in life :)

Goodbye mac!

The past few days have been torture trying to study for the comp based class. I've been so stressed over it and after tonight, it turned out worse than I imagined. I don't even know why we had to take a final, the way he taught the class doesn't even flow with these assessments. We already had like 7 graded projects and then every night after lecture, an in-class assignment always had to be finished. I got in there early and was freaking out and Louis tried to calm me down. He apparently was not worried at all but that's cause he has a stronger background and he's always gotten things so quickly. I, on the other hand have always needed to spend many extra hours outside of class on everything. We had to move to another room for the exam and Louis was sitting right across from me. He got the exam first and when I saw the freaked out/upset face he made, I was done. He then mouthed, "what the hell?" to me. Dude, seeing him freak out didn't make me feel any better. The exam...I can't even explain it. There were so many questions that had nothing to do with lectures or the text, plus things I've never seen before. But thinking back on it now, he was always such an a-hole during class, why would I expect less from the exam. I only wished that when I handed him my exam, I could have rolled it up and whacked him across the head.

What goes in must come out

I don't think that I've ever been so badly affected by stress. The weird thing is that I don't think that I'm constantly thinking and stressing, it seems like subconsciously I'm doing it or something. Lately I've been having these huge cravings for green tea ice cream and oro blanco grapefruit, I can eat 2-3 at once. These aren't even things that I normally eat, must be all the hormones that are coming out of the woodworks from the stress. I finally realized that I'm stressing myself out so badly that I'm actually making myself sick, mainly not being able to hold food down. It has not been pretty. As if finals weren't enough, I had to have all those school issues and the aggravating graduation gift dilemma. Someone did try to give me an upside to all of this, I was told "at least your binge is healthy because it's caused by stress and not your own finger!" I've been alright for the past few days so hopefully it'll stay that way.

*Sigh* Posted by Hello

That expression about sums up the day I've had. I finally got a hold of the field director who basically threw a boulder onto me today. Apparently, all my supposed "advisors" suck donkey balls. I was given incorrect information and misled so now I'm going to get screwd over yet again. I so thought I left behind the "RU Screw"...I guess it's now become the "TU Screw"! Ugh, I can't even let it stress me out cause I still have projects and finals next week.

I was anticipating the season finale of MTB3. That show is my guilty pleasure and I'm totally obsessed with the group of girls that I had picked in my mind already. Of course my fave was Aubrey. I thought that tonight, the final 5 girls would be picked to make the band, hence the freaking title! But nooo, what a freaking disappointment, only 3 girls were chosen to continue the search for making a band. Granted, the 3 girls were part of my pick but apparently their moving on doesn't guarantee them a spot in the band. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next season.

Behold, Bread Almighty! Posted by Hello

Woo hoo, looky at what I found in my email! It's my pet bread that was thrown out.
