Woman down

I'm going to make this short and sweet. The most ridiculous things happened to me today. It was definitely one of those days that I should've just stayed in bed to avoid it all!

First, while walking, I get pushed really hard and fall to the disgusting sidewalk. I'm sure it was an accident but I still don't understand how I got shoved that freaking hard. Since I was wearing slides, my ankle got twisted pretty badly. I'll admit, the ankle hurt but the ground was just too gross to be sitting on.

I decided to get myself a cup of lychee sorbet and I'm enjoying it as I'm walking. As I'm passing the butcher shop, this teenager comes flying out and shoots out his mini-cart directly at me. He stopped it inches away from me but I was so startled that I ended up dropping most of my sorbet on the floor! Poor poor dessert. Seriously, people should get tested for a license to roll one of those things around in public. A freaking danger to society I tell you!

Finally, the big "are you freaking kidding me?!?" incident. My butt got grabbed. I'm talking whole hand contact. I had no idea who did it. Look, Mr. Man or Ms. Woman - no matter how hard you squeeze, you're not going to get lemonade out of me.

Fiesta

I ate so much on Saturday for Mle's bday fiesta! We made so much food and desserts too! The fact that I made two kinds didn't help either. So what was on the menu? Beef tacos, bean quesadillas, chicken fajitas, grilled veggies, rice, refried beans, salsa, and guacamole. Then for dessert, I made apple enchiladas and a caramel banana cake. There was also flan too.

What's a true fiesta without a pinata? I surprised Emmy with Pablo from The Backyardigans. Everyone thought I just made up the name to go along with the Mexican theme - but nope, that's really his name! How perfect right? Wey and I didn't think the pinata all the way through so we had to ghetto it. We hung him off of a Swiffer and instead of a whiffle bat, we used a wooden spatula. Watching Emmy attack Pablo was the most hilarious thing ever! At one point, she whacked him so hard that he came flying at me. In the end, people took turns pulling the string to open it up for the candy to fall out.

It ended up being a pretty late night because M had asked me to bring my karaoke game over. By then most people had left so a few of us rocked the mikes. Watching the guys sing the "love" songs was hysterical, not to mention some of their "moves"!

The night was awesome, stuffing myself silly and laughing so hard that my stomach and cheeks hurt! But the best thing? Emmy time of course!

I put the blindfold on Pablo for the time being. While I was moving the blindfold off, it was on his chest area and looked like a bikini top. That's the time when Pablo was confused and thought he was Paulina. Hopefully, Emmy and Pablo will be amigos por vida!

Spring forward

I know I only lost out on one hour but for some strange reason, I felt like 5 hours were stolen from me. Trying to get up this morning was impossible and when I finally did, I felt bummy all day. I guess that extra hour is just that important to me.

Besides from the daylight savings, know how else I know nicer weather is to come? Rita's is opened! Cinny and I were extremely delighted for this. I got us our first cup of the season on Saturday. The funny thing is that the two of us were shivering from eating it afterwards in the house. I also went to watch 300 with Kevin this weekend. Emmy had warned me in advance of the violence and blood. At least it wasn't gory at all though. It was good, a very manly movie, with a "rarrrr" message. Coaches should totally show this movie to get their athletes pumped up. I never thought just rocking a red cape and banana hammock would be that cool - now I'm thinking of parading around like that. I thought that the Gollum-like character could've been left out. It was so ridiculous seeing him in his "uniform". He looked like a cross between I Dream of Jeannie and a lawn gnome.

Cinny was attempting to play with the glasses on the floor and I decided to try and prop them on him. Surprisingly, it worked! Mr. Shades is so hilarious!

A snowy surprise

Guess what just came in the mail? The shirt I ordered for Cinny! I love camo so he loves camo, that's just the way it is.

Happy Birthday Cinnamon!

Cinny turns 3 today!! I'm always wondering if he kind of knows that it's his special day because of the things he gets. I'd like to think he knows. Oh, and a happy birthday to Jeff too. They share the same birthday. I got him this ice cream cone shaped cookie from the doggie bakery. The icing part is made of yogurt. I also got him this peanut butter blast cookie, but he didn't like it at all. I'm a bit annoyed that a part of his bday gift still hasn't come in yet, so we'll have to wait.

Cinny rocking his birthday hat! Hip hip hooray!

In the midst of all his partying, his cone fell down to one side of his ear. How cute is the orange toy that I got him?! It reminds me of those characters from my cute notepads.

Here's Cinn trying to eat his treat. Look at how wide his eyes got! It was too big for him to chew apart so he just bit it and walked all over the place with it in his mouth.

Eventually, he realized that he just wanted to lick all of the yogurt part off.

This was one of the shirts he got. I love that the "r" is the shape of a gun. C-Dawg is so gangsta! I love how he looks in his Guido track jacket, so I figured I'd add to his ghetto-ness.

Feeling the blues, but in a good way

I had the worst train experience ever yesterday - long and packed. Kevin, Jeff, and I took an 11:38am train from Edison. I honestly didn't think it would be packed at all, but it was like a can of sardines. There weren't any seats, let alone room to stand comfortably. The train attendants kept badgering the standees to walk all the way back for the "supposed" open seats. We walked and walked. What did we find? Open seats? Nope, more jam packed cars. We eventually just found a little corner by the doors. After each station, it was like watching clowns being shoved into those little cars. I don't even want to get started on how ridiculously hot it was! Oh, even better, some creepy guy started yelling and rambling about his crappy vacation and how the pets he stayed with had fleas!

Luckily, our Rangers vs. St. Louis Blues game didn't start right on the dot. I was disappointed when I found out they weren't playing Lundqvist, instead they had Valiquette who hasn't played in years! Especially when he let a goal in within a minute of the game! But honestly, I'm sure he was nervous as crap so it's understandable.

The game was the most amazing game I've ever seen and the most intense feeling one! We had a very disappointing 2 periods, with the score 0-2. We were toying with the fact that the games that we've been to, the Rangers always blow their great leads and that there would be the chance that we'd win it when we were the ones trailing. You should've felt the range of emotions from the Garden. Fans were pissed off - they kept chanting "we suck, we suck, we suck!" I didn't join in on that. Towards the end of the 3rd period, the Rangers scored the two goals to tie. It was so awesome! They made it through overtime and let me see my first live shoot-out! I loved being able to stand up the entire time and not having to worry about someone throwing beer at me. Though, I'm sure as long as I'm rocking my Rangers gear, I'd be safe. The support and cheering from the crowd during the shoot-out was so intense. There was a couple sitting next to me and you could tell the girlfriend was so not into the game. Her boyfriend kept telling her to stand and cheer for the goals and she always refused. Boy, did he give her a firm stand-up command for the shoot-out, which she finally listened to. How did it end? The Rangers won the shoot-out!! I saw my first winning game after many losses! My throat was so scratched and my hands were so bloody red from all the clapping. But it was all worth it. Everyone was turning around and giving hi-fives. The people that had gotten into an argument in front of us suddenly went and gave each other a hug. Man, this type of win feels so good, it makes you want to hump your mama. Ok, joking!

Valiquette, you get my stamp of approval. I can now proudly and happily hang up my jersey until next season, unless somehow Kevin scores free tickets.

Valiquette warming up - it always cracks me up to see them sprawled out like that. The final score, 3-2!

Rangers feeling the love from the Garden!

"I'm a hustler baby...."

I played Texas Hold 'Em for the first time tonight. Justin was explaining the whole gist to me and originally he said he wouldn't BS and would go easy on us. That so didn't happen! Right from the start, he was being cocky and I didn't want him to have his glory at all so I rarely folded. Plus, Jess would fold a lot and I just didn't feel right folding and letting him win if he was conning it. I cleaned him out and he ended up having to take a loan. In the end, it was getting too late so we just put all the money on the last round. Guess who won with a straight? Oh yeah, that'd be me!

Here's living proof why I can uphold my quote: "Balls to the wall!" Cause that's how I roll.
