Goodbye, jetstream Stacey!

I went snowboarding with Kevin this weekend. I was very hesitant but I needed to use my triple play card. I thought I wouldn't be freaked out by the falls I had last time but once I was at the top, the anxiety started kicking in and I didn't want to go down at all. It took me a couple of minutes but I calmed myself down and just did it. After listening to what Kevin was telling me, I taught myself better control. I can't believe I did it but I was able to stop myself from shooting straight down the mountain at crazy speed! I could board down more smoothly, weaving from left to right. I also could come to complete stop when I wanted to. As well, I could go fast or slow, and maneuver myself around people. It took some persuasion but I went with Kevin onto the green trails. The gondola was the coolest thing ever! You get to stand in it and it fits up to 6 people. It went up the mountain so quickly and man, did it go up high! The wind was intense, hurt the face really badly. For the most part, the only reasons why I fell were because I was exhausted and needed to take a breather. Kevin had warned me that there would be a few steep turns. I got to one of them and there was this girl that just decided to rest there. Since it was so steep, it was hard to brake before hitting her so I ended up falling. I couldn't get up because she just sat there and I kept sliding down time after time. If she had moved, I would've been able to get on by but she just stayed there. Afterwards, there was a guy that completely plowed me over - his board slammed into my thigh. He was pretty freaked out and kept asking if I was alright. Dude, it hurts so I'm going to sit it out for a bit. I'm sure he would've died if I started crying.

I am proud to say that I didn't hurt myself this time! I mean, I'm sore all over but that's normal. I thought my thighs would be burning but strangely, my upper body is the part in pain right now. But go me for going on the green trail and being able to maneuver in control!

I did watch a lot of movies and shows this weekend too. I got to see "Because I Said So" on Friday, it was cute. There were definitely some awkward conversations that the sisters and mother were having. I had been looking for the movie, The Death Note, that comes with English subtitles since forever. The sequel already came out and yet I still couldn't get the first with the English dubbing. Luckily, my uncle found it for me this past week. This started as a manga first and it has an anime as well. It's pretty cool actually. I can't wait to start watching the anime and try to search for the sequel as well. Then today, I went to see Pan's Labyrinth. It was really good! The music and the images were awesome. There were definitely some gory scenes but I loved how they showed the world that a child creates in order to escape war. Even cooler, I would say that for 80% of the movie, I didn't need any of the subtitles.

Grr, I've been trying and failing to catch Pan's Labyrinth for the past three weekends. If I don't get to see it this Friday when I'll be up all day I shall blow up Parliament.

Though not Funkadelic.

Awww, I'm sorry! How come they've been failed attempts? No show times that you can to? It came out at the end of December so you should go soon before they take it out.

Hey! I don't jetstream anymore! You said I did awesome! There's skilled Stacey - ohhh li-co-rice!

It actually wasn't intended that way. I had the pants last year that I wore with the big gay blue puffy jacket...but I destroyed it in the dryer accidentally. So now I just use the thinner & cheaper jacket. Would be warmer to use the white one but I like that one too much :)
