Girls

Besides from the immense amount of baked goods that I made, I ended up getting a plate from each of the girls. Ever since then, I haven't been able to stop eating cookies & brownies! It's so horrible, everytime I walk by the container, I grab a few. Damn them for being so conveniently sized.

On one of the nights, we made pasta for dinner and went through 2 bottles of wine. I was definitely burning up from the asian glow. We watched "The Perfect Man" which was alright. I was a bit disappointed because I hyped it up too much. I'm biased because I love Big so I'll want to watch anything he's in. It was definitely easier on the eyes seeing Hilary during her non-teeth capping & non-anorexic days.

We played Loaded Questions on another night. Beth was supposed to guess whose response was whose to the question of "most gruesome death". The other girls wrote burning and decapitation. Uhm, what did I put that totally gave it away?? I wrote: being chopped up into little pieces, cooked, and then fed to your family. It's not my fault that I'm more creatively disturbing. At least now we all know that one of their biggest turn-offs is guys who shove 3 cookies into their mouth at once. There were a bunch of other funny responses but I can't think of them right now.

Event smorgasbord

Wrapping paper, the gift that keeps on giving! (My cousin Alex did this) Posted by Picasa

Normally my family exchanges gifts on Xmas Eve, but this year we ended up doing it the day after Xmas. It was a pretty crazy night, we ended up celebrating a mix of things. I had to go out and get all these balloons, per my aunt's request. Besides from Xmas, we were celebrating Emily's graduation and Kevin's birthday....a whole lot of toasting.

What was one of the coolest gifts I got? Okay, 2nd coolest, after the nano Kevin gave me....was the "Magic Bullet"! I want to go out and buy random food items just to chop stuff up. So awesome, now right after blending a drink, I can keep it in the same container (yes, my lazy ass is amazed by this).

Seagal juice

Open up a can of whoop-ass! Posted by Picasa

Since my mom is a HUGE Seagal fan, Kevin got her these energy drinks as a joke gift. Ooh, the ingredients are picked out by Seagal himself. Even better, they come in 2 flavors, the cherry charge and asian experience! So, if I drink the asian experience one, will I feel more asian? Just think, I now have a can with not only Seagal's signature but his face as well!

Top reason to watch his movies? In the words of the man himself: “I think people are frustrated in this society, where predators prey upon normal, law-abiding citizens, and you never see justice in the courtroom. In my films, the predators don't get away with it.”

Environmentally friendly

3 went in & all disappeared! Posted by Picasa

I am turning into such a science nerd! I just noticed that the loosefill that came with the insect stuff I ordered was not the normal styrofoam stuff. This stuff is actually biodegradable and apparently after my little experiement, it's water soluble too!

Penial talk

Earlier this morning, I went back to the MET to get the checkup on my TB shot. As I was leaving, the doctor asked how my dad was doing since the visit on Tuesday. I was trying to explain that he seemed more sick as the day progressed. Well instead of saying "there's a vast difference", I ended up saying "there's a vas deferens"!! The doctor gave me the strangest look so I quickly said my goodbye's and left. Man, it was one of those things where as I said it, I knew what I was doing wrong but couldn't stop myself.

Juicy couture

Jogging in style! Posted by Picasa

How long did the grooming session at Petsmart take? Over 4 hours!! He ended up having to get trimmed twice, apparently because of the weather, his fur has become insanely staticky & clumpy. So instead of his usual length, they had to take off more of it. But no worries, it's not like he's only naked skin.

4 holes vs. 1 hole

I just went to get a TB shot before. I wasn't worried or anything because I assumed it would be that 4 pronged thing that they use to quickly poke you. Uhm no...it has now become an actual shot! Everyone knows I have a huge phobia of needles! I freak myself out before, during, and after the shot. It sucks, I just hate the thought of a needle in my flesh.

In response to this:
Ooh, make sure you get your whooping cough vaccine while you're there, Miss "I like to protect myself from diseases nobody has worried about since World War 1".

I had to get it for a school clearance! As if I would ever go out of my way to be around needles.

MTB3

I am beaming! My life is now complete, Aubrey & Aundrea made the band!! I'm a dork, I know, but it's all good because Betty is one too (she called me between every commerical break). The other three are Dawn, Wanita, and Shannon. I'm a lil saddened that it's the season finale because this was my driving force for the week. I'd suck it up, all for Thursday's show. I guess now is just the wait for a CD.

It's that time of the year again...the unspeakable "f" word

My math bag! (The other side says math is fun) Posted by Picasa

Ah, the much pain in my butt math bag/curriculum project. Man, how long did it take cutting out those letters from fabric and sewing them on one by one! The professor made this project more complicated for us. Originally we only had to pick a concept (like decimals, fractions) and create 3 take-home standards based activities. But instead, we had to choose a theme that integrates different subject areas. I really do like this idea of a math bag, where students take turns bringing home this bag and working on the activities with their parents. So you're wondering what activities do I have in here & how on earth did I connect bugs with math? Well, you'll just have to come over and I'll show you ;) M to the A-T-H!

Speaking of math, this older lady (D), the one that questioned why I still did origami....uhm yeah, she totally STOLE one of my activities that I had presented a few weeks ago. I wouldn't have minded if she "borrowed" it and gave me credit, but she acted like it was something that she came up with. But my friends at our "bad" table all knew and were like, "she better be paying you some usage fees!" It's just frustrating because I'm all about this community of sharing but you should make it known that you're borrowing instead of playing it off like it's your own creation.

Oh yeah, go watch "Rent"! I LOVED it, I'm so into it now that I got the CD for it too. My fave is Angel...of course.
