"I think I'm turning Japanese..."

There's this older woman in some of my classes who's a tad bit annoying. Most of us joke and say that she'd be the one that we'd vote off for Survivor. But anyways, tonight she made some comments to me and I really didn't know how to respond. So here goes:

D:"So how long have you been doing origami?"
Me:"Uhm, not really that long. I only know how to do a few things actually."
D:"So then you're Japanese?"
Me:"No, I'm Chinese."
D:"But isn't origami Japanese?"
Me:"Yeah..."
D:"And you still do it?" (puzzled look)
Me:"Yeah..." (even more puzzled look)

Uhm yeah, what did she expect me to say? I don't know if she was just being ignorant or what.
