Oooooooh ooooh scary


So I went on a haunted hayride for the first time last night. Of course before it all, I had to prewarn them all that I'm a huge wuss and I do get scared...which of course led to multiple mockings. But come on, you're vulnerable sitting there in a haystack in the middle of nowhere, it's dark and things come at you, like I'm supposed to be able to sit there calmly. The thing we sat in was so cute, it was a minitractor draggin this giant crate like thingy. Let me just say one thing, hay is not fun to sit in, it was like poking my butt and all over and it was so itchy, not to mention that I found a piece here and there afterwards. Of course I wanted to drive it, I know I have issues with that. They started taking all of us into the far far areas of the farm, that itself was pretty freaky, especially the shadows of all the farm machinery. Well this guy I just met that night, starts off like a 15 minute soliqy about farm stuff, like explaining what a sickle was and did (some sorta blade). I was like the only sickle I know is sickle cell. Yeah but of course he didn't get the hint and he kept going on and on about farming stuff, it was so hard trying to act interested. The ride consisted of going around and stopping at various sheds and displays. They had the "scary" people pop outta nowhere and come near the tractor and some even jumped into them. At one point, there was some guy with a mask from that guy in Halloween and he was just slowly staring at Jess from behind, when she finally turned around...totally body slammed ontop of me. Eww, and then there were clowns, I normally am freaked out by clowns but these were the scary looking ones too, that point I was totally freaking out and squeezing myself into the middle of all the other people! There was one area that I was very impressed by and am still trying to figure out how they did it. We stopped in front of an open shed and there was an image, you could tell that it looked kinda mirrored, well it was some guy dancing around and then he drinks a potion. Then immediately, the image changes to him being all deformed and this time it seems like a real image. He's trying to bust outta the shed and finally he looks straight ahead at us and the shed completely blacks out. Baam, in 5 seconds, there's like 3 of them hanging off our tractor. Dude, I screamed sooo loud, I had been hanging my head over the edge to see how they were doing this, I was not expecting them to be right there in my face. This one father on the ride was totally amused by me b/c everytime we stopped at an area, I would be scanning the back and trying to figure out if the things could come alive behind us, I wanted to be prepared for all areas ya know? Then of course there was the like 12 year old boy that thought it would be funny to pat my back every 5 minutes to try and freak me out. Uhm what else, towards the end there were these dudes with chainsaws, I'm quite freaked cause they sounded very real and I could smell like gasoline from them. They actually stuck them inside what we were sitting in and stuff. Well that guy that I had met that night (the one that made fun of me)...uhm yeah, how come he was shrieking like a little girl and hiding underneath us? I'm still confused, I don't think I've ever seen a guy that scared, or would display that he was that freaked out? Yah, but in the end, I thought it was fun...nothing like sitting in a hayride full of people screaming. To top it all off, they were selling funnel cakes & caramel apples, that's all I needed to have!
