Twisted

Could someone please explain to me when it became a bad thing to work hard and do well? It's amazing how screwd lately I've been as a result of that. I literally got suckered twice today to do something I don't want to do, nor am I technically qualified to do. I know it's a compliment that I'm viewed highly but that can't be the excuse for everything now. I've always had so much on my plate and to keep adding to it is wearing me dry. It's just so frustrating that things seem so reversed!

On a funny note, I got a huge visit from last year's kids this morning. I'm very private about my personal life with the kids, I don't think it's appropriate to talk about your boyfriend, fiance, etc. Now, being married and having children is a different story to me. Last year's kids always wanted me to be married and I figured they'd find out next year. Well, one of them found out from a 3rd grade teacher and has basically been the 11 o'clock news in broadcasting it out. This morning, as I was cleaning up the carpet, I look up and there's like 10 of my kids in front of me. They're all excited and yelling at me, "You didn't tell us you were getting married!!" They looked so offended that I didn't tell them first. They're just too cute.

Happy New Year!

What can I say? 2009 literally came flaring in! On New Year's Eve, I started a small fire and Kevin flared it up even more. Luckily we both were able to put it out and everything's fine. Just a slight burn on my index finger and some slightly darkened areas on the stove.

The first snowboard trip of the year was definitely fun, very tiring though. I figured that most people would be too hung-over to want to wake up early to go the next day. I think I did pretty well for not going in over a year, not really any falls. I did have a pretty bad spill on the first run - the kind that you think you're just going to fall a bit but turns into a rolling somersault kind. Those hurt when your board and legs flip over. The next major fall happened because a girl ran into me and fell down as well. You'd think she'd apologize or check to see if I was okay, but nope! Seriously, thanks for making me fall, just what I love. Oh but the best one was when I got jabbed in the thigh with someone's ski pole!!

Completely random but Dunkin Donuts finally brought back their Dunkachino! I loved those suckers and they stopped selling it years ago. I've had it twice so far. Hmm, think I'll go for my third one today.
