Pedal to the metal

I feel like I've been permanently shifted into "go" gear! I am now starting my 4th week of school and it has still been draining. I can't even begin to explain how much I miss my kids from last year. Most of them drop by and visit before and after school. Even the macho boys still visit and give hugs, it's so comforting knowing that they knew how much I cared about them.

My class this year definitely has been interesting to say the least. There has been quite a few funny situations within these last few weeks! I only found a few days before school that I had the ELL classroom so I've been needing to do a lot of extra work for communications/homework. Since I attended the summer workshop, my classroom has also become one of the lab classrooms. To top this ALL off, I found out last week that I somehow had "volunteered" (oh wait, I meant someone chose for me) to house a Rutgers education student, starting at the end of this week.

Completely unrelated to school, but I just had to share - yesterday, Kevin's family and my family met up (they haven't since we graduated from RU). We all had a fortune cookie. You know how they now have "learn chinese" words on the back? Well, all of ours were food/color related. Kevin's word to learn was.....wife! How funny is that?

Total fate!
