Wicked downpour

Life has definitely been showing its ugly side lately.

Stolen money, broken trust, harassment, immaturity, sneakiness, inappropriate blame games - what a yummy combo.

All this storming has got to lead to a rainbow

The past few weeks have been quite unpleasant, to say the least. I remember thinking last Monday, that things couldn't get worse. Boy, was I wrong after all the "incidents"! It's rather aggravating that I find myself in this similar cycle quite a few times - where I get rained on and doubt and feel bad about myself, and then I get mad at myself for allowing someone to make me feel that way. It really amazes me how people can pull some shady mean stuff collaboratively but then come at you in a different way individually.

The Year of the Mouse (Rat) is coming up, so here's to hoping it brings some squeaky goodness! Since I had MLK Day off, I finally was able to go out to the city to get some supplies. We had our car standing on the street where my grandparents' apartment used to be. It was really weird not being able to go upstairs to visit them, you know? It hadn't really hit me before because I hadn't been there for a while. But just waiting in the car, gazing up at something that is now in your past, was a bit much to take in.

Before I make this into a depressing post, I do have something fun to share! My cactus pups finally came in! There are just so darn cute! I love how they each come with a little item.

"All I wanted for Christmas was winter break!"

It's amazing how quickly winter break went by! It was a much needed break and I finally did get to relax. Granted, I did overbook myself but it was completely worth it. I was a bit surprised by how tired my body started to feel. I guess it was because I'm always on the job and have to perform no matter what but while I was on a break, the months of built-up exhaustion just decided to slam me all at once.

So here's what was awesome during the break:

*Being able to go to bed in the single digits and waking up in the double digits
*Time with the girls filled with random talks, shopping, and building our first gingerbread house
*Catching up on all my TV shows
*Spending time with the family and Cinny
*Vegging out
*Snowboarding
*Eating Twizzler ice cream for the first time (oh, it was good)
*Hanging out with Kevin 24/7
*Having time to read magazines and books
