Our water collage Posted by Picasa

Instead of following the guide and making brochures, I had the students create a class collage of where water is found. I figured that they'd have more fun working together. Luckily, I was wise and told them to find the pictures for homework. I swear, the people who create the curriculum are so clueless. I really liked my raindrops idea, it kept them all busy. When they were done with the big lake, they worked on the raindrops with partners. That way those who finished earlier would have something to do and not be creating havoc in my room. Oh and I so laminated all of it! Gotta love that machine. It's actually funny because Beth hates using that machine so she never laminates anything, while I use it every chance I get. It took me a long time to cut out the letters. Of course only after I'm done, I'm informed that there's a machine for die-cuts as well. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm sure I'll enjoy it when I do. I've been getting compliments for it though, yay! I am so going to plaster the hallways with the kids' work as much as possible.
